In the afternoon of April 18^th, at the conference room of Beijing Hotel, the president of China Film International (CFI) –Stanley brainstorm how to achieve the integration of art and technology in comprehensive way together with international industry movers and sharks: Jeffrey Katzenberg—Chief Executive Officer and a Co-Founder and Director of DreamWorks Animation SKG, Rob Minkoff—well-known American director and producer, who has directed “Lion King” and other famous films, Jan Heinze—Chief Operating Officer and Executive producer of PIXOMONDO, Kinson Tsang—veteran Hong Kong sound engineer and Raymond Zhou famous writer and film critics.  

The creation season competition of short film based on young director, named “China Influence Young Director Competition” was organized by CCTV6 and Kweichow Moutai Group Co., Ltd, Hong Kong director Stanley is a mentor in this program. He said it is very gratified to see these creative young directors, "they kept on amazing me in every aspect."

The first “Silk Road International Film Festival”, which aimed at present the features of contemporary Chinese film to the world, was unveiled in the ancient city of Xi’an. The biggest luminescent spot in the Festival was the grand signing ceremony of first film project under the China-India co-production agreement—“Kungfu Yoga” (working title). The film will be directed by the Hong Kong based Stanley Tong, who directed the “Stone Age Warriors”. We had Dong Gang—Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and TV, Bai Aying—Vice-governor of Shanxi Provincial People’s Government, together with the domestic and international film professionals to witness this historic moment of China-Indian cooperation.

In the evening of June 18th, China Film International Media Co., Ltd. (CFI), that co-invested by four companies, China Film Equipment Co. Ltd, China Film Digital Film Development Co., Shanghai Hua Da Film Co. Ltd, and China International Media Co. Ltd, was officially set up and held the opening ceremony in Shanghai. Stanley Tong, the distinguished director and producer, is the President of CFI. He will establish an international production team and it strives to be an outstanding member in the international co-production film market. La Peikang, Chairman of the China Film Co., Ltd, Hu Jinjun, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV, Bai Fangqin, the Vice Minister of the Propagandistic Department of Guizhou Province Committee, and many others in leadership position attended the opening ceremony.
